Child Haven Receives $100,000 & $150,000 Gift

Child Haven received a $100,000 personal gift on Sunday from Brad and Marcia Hager of Hager Marketing Group. Following a recent visit to Child Haven, the Hager’s decided to make a donation.

The donors presented the check at a servant leadership conference on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in the Events Center at Bally’s Las Vegas. In return, Department of Family Services Director Susan Klein-Rothschild presented the Hager’s with a proclamation from the Clark County Board of Commissioners.

“This is such a wonderful surprise,” said Rothschild. “We are very appreciative of Mr. and Mrs. Hager’s generosity and example.”

Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman also acknowledged the Hager’s for their gift, giving them his sincere appreciation, and recognizing them as true leaders in the community.

Child Haven is a part of the Clark County Department of Family Services and provides temporary care and treatment for abused, neglected and abandoned children between 3 days to 17 years of age. The Child Haven campus consists of eight cottages and activity and school centers. Children are assigned to a cottage based on their age and sex. The cottages have a capacity of housing 12 children each, except for the infants cottage, which has a capacity for 20 infants.

The servant leadership conference put on by Hager Marketing Group focused on a practical philosophy that supports people who choose to serve first, and then lead as a way of expanding service to individuals and institutions. Servant leadership encourages collaboration, trust, foresight, listening and the ethical use of empowerment.
